This philosophy motivated the Swiss watch-making manufacture Quinting to create the first and only transparent watch in the world.

Quinting’s movement was created to fulfill the dream of a 100% transparent watch. Each of the movements created by Quinting’s team of watch makers is unique and patented; no copies exist of our watches, or our movements.

The movements contain the 3rd dimension because of the numerous sapphires layers, and due to this unique aspect they can be customized in various ways.

9 Sapphire Discs
The movement of “The Mysterious Quardinal” is made by superposing 9 thin toothed discs of sapphire previously metallised and given an antireflection coating. This complicated system is composed of 5 stationary and 4 rotating sapphire discs that put in motion the hour, minute, and date hands as well as the small second at 6 o’clock.
